What to expect with Colonic Hydrotherapy

  • A questionnaire will be sent via email prior to your session (or you may come in 15 minutes early to complete). It will ask several health questions and require your signature of consent before the session begins. Before beginning the treatment your practitioner will discuss with you your health history, personal wellness goals, explain the treatment and answer any questions you might have.

 

  • The treatment room is private and has its own ensuite facilities. The room has been created with relaxation and healing in mind  - low lighting, soft music, comfy linen & essential oils. 

 

  • There will be time to empty your bladder before the session starts. You will be laying on the bed, undressed from the waist down and with a towel covering you at all times throughout the session. Once you are ready and with permission the practitioner will insert the lubricated speculum into the rectum and connect the surgical A grade plastic tubing. 

 

  • Your practitioner will start by giving you a gentle belly massage to soothe and relax the colon muscles and then continue to facilitate the gentle introduction and release of filtered water into your colon. The waste released can be viewed and your practitioner will explain what it means. All waste is contained in a closed tube and goes directly into the plumbing. There is no mess or smell.

 

  • A trained and qualified practitioner will be with you throughout the treatment and guide you through each release using massage, simple breathing techniques, reflexology and acupressure. Feel free to ask questions throughout the treatment and speak to your practitioner about what it is you would like to achieve. Our goal is to give you the tools you need to make lasting changes. 

 

  • At the end of the session you will be given time to use the toilet and when finished will  be offered a probiotic and electrolyte drink. 

 

  • A colonic is generally a relaxing, healing and pain free experience. However, please know that each treatment is individual and there may be times when discomfort occurs due to gas, inflammation or extreme constipation. Your trained and experienced practitioner will respond to your individual needs to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
